Notice how little amount of water there looks to be in the before picture. This is very common, where the extent of the water damage does not meet the untrained eye. We used industry specialized equipment like moisture meters to tell just how wet and far the extent of the water damage actually is. Above is an example of what extraction can do to speed up the water restoration process. Without extraction we would have to wait for dehumidification and air flow to dry up the standing water. Though with extraction we can quickly remove the water and move onto the next step in the water damage.
